About me

My name is Tom Skehan, I am an industrial designer passionate about developing innovative solutions and products. I enjoy exploring the full design process, from initial ideation to final output, and I am dedicated to realising my intended vision. The ability to see my thoughts and ideas transformed into both virtual and physical models fuels my motivation throughout this journey. I thrive in the hands-on making process, greatly enhanced by my personal experience with 3D printing. I love delving into new applications for this technology and its potential outputs. This is evident in the diverse range of projects I have undertaken that utilise 3D printing, including a full-scale, useable chair, a lifelike camera model, and, mostnotably Havi, a manually controlled household robotic arm, designed for elderly individuals.
